I am ending the updates to this blog. Great Hellas will remain online for future reference, but my efforts are now aimed at educating the common Hellene in his and her language. Change in their mentality is of utmost importance at this point in time. This is only possible if they can understand the language in which articles are written.

I urge all those who know Hellenes back in the πατρίδα, who enjoy the craft of writing and hold patriotic ideals, to start their own blogs in Ελληνίκα. It is important that they do. Hellas will eventually bridge the digital divide with other European countries. Many more Hellenes will have internet in their homes within the next 3-7 years. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that enthusiastic patriots are online and ready to take on the eventual globalist attempt to manipulate the Hellenic mind through the net for their own sinsiter purposes.

Hellenic Front has updated its English site to include a very wise article on Hellenic foreign policy and why we should not be suprised in its ineffectivness since nothing else in the country works. (link) Here is an excerpt:

Tsunami

The aussies are fear a tsunami may strike Hellas (link). If it were not for the historical precedent of tsunamis in the Aegean (see Plato Timaeus, Laws) and more recent occurences I'd say that the Aussies are just trying to scare people from visiting Hellas this summer as they were last summer.

On second thought, who am I kidding, they probably are.

I doubt that the government will act on an early warning system any time soon. You see, it has no money to complete projects already at hand. No corporation will want to pick up this profitless tab. With all the money split up between PASOK, New Democracy, KKE, and Synapsismos robber baron political system the country can barely finish projects in progress. I think it the sum of the tax payers wealth went to 1 part SYN, 2 parts KKE, 3 part new Democracy, and 4 parts PASOK.

I say a cheaper way is to have pamphlets up everywhere in the coastal areas detailing how the sea appears when a tsunami is in the works. The ancient Hellenes have already provided the material.

Anyhow, if you are on a sailboat and the wave is coming towards you, climb the wave diagonally as if you are climbing a mountain. If you are on a motor yacht or boat I wish you the best of luck, and hope you are a good Hellenic-Orthodox Christian. The wine dark sea is unforgiving.

Abstract: One of the most tsunamigenic regions of Europe is the Kythira Strait
between Peloponnesus and Crete Island. Large, destructive tsunamis have been
reported there in historical times such as the waves of 66 A.D., 365, 1630 and
1866, all of them being associated with respective large earthquakes. Future
tsunamis to be generated in that area could cause near-field as well as
far-field effects. Since the tsunami travel times are locally very short,
near-field effects are expected within only about 10 min from the tsunami origin
time. Therefore, the Greek research team that is participating in GITEC-TWO has
selected the Kythira Strait, SW Aegean Sea, for the development of a local
tsunami warning system (TWS). Before establishing such a TWS its operational
efficiency should be firstly tested by considering its response capability. The
main purpose of the test is to evaluate the maximum alert time, that is the time
interval between the origin time of a potentially tsunamigenic strong earthquake
and the maximum acceptable time for setting up a tsunami alert. To this goal an
experimental system for monitoring the earthquake activity and the sea level
changes has been developed. The system consists of a number of digital
seismographs and tide-gauges. A 24-hour operation of the system and an on-line
data transmission and automatic elaboration at the Institute of Geodynamics,
Athens, has been scheduled.

Tassos Akritas

Cyprus is blessed with a leader like His Excellency Tassos Papadopoulos. This latest revelation only goes to verify that Cyrus is ruled by a man who has acted in the past to ensure that Cyprus' liberty is preserved. Today, he continues to do so. For this, all Hellenes should look towards the Cypriots as an example of what kind of person to choose as their leader. I'll let the Cypriots reaction to a possible Turkish invasion highlight that if the Cypriot model for dealing with the Turks then had been implemented when the invasion did come, Cyprus would not be split today.

According to the book, the following reveals the message from Papadopulous who was then the minister of labor and vice-president of the Akritas [border guards] organization: "If the Turkish fleet violates the 12-mile border, we will consider this as the start of the occupation. According to our calculations, this gives us 75 minutes to defend ourselves and to wipeout Turkish Cypriots. We have all the plans and opportunities to do that."

Parthenonas

It took our ancient ancestors about 10-15 years to build the Parthenon from scratch. Without modern transportation systems to carry the marble from Pendeli to the center of Athens. Without power drills to take the marble out from the mountain. Without a single modern electric tool, the Parthenon, surrounding temples, and a giant statue of Athena Pallas covered in gold were built in 10-15 years. That was the monument our ancient ancestors built, and the modern government cannot restore.

In the Modern Era, there has been an effort to restore this wonder of Helleneism since 1975. Now, Kathimerini reports (here) that it will take another 16 years to complete, and that the government has no money (4.4 million a year) and will seek private sponsors. That's what happens when Hellenes do not run the country. The quisling government in power now and in the past robs the bank, siphons the money off to Switzerland, and as this commentary rightly states, has no problem writing off soccer debts. Hellas' culture past and present suffers.

However, the commentary also says that the Parthenon "belongs to the world." NO. It belongs to Hellenes. It was our ancestors, whether slaves or craftsment, who built this marvel and not some British persons ancient relative. The world is invited to visit it, but they cannot claim it as part of their heritage unless they take up the tenets of Helleneism.

Further, the commentary says that we should set up a private fund to get cash from the Hellenic citizen. Here is an idea, have the Papandreou, Chant, Venizelos, etc families donate the money they stole from the taxpayers. It makes no sense to require the victim of theft to be asked to donate money to help restore the Parthenon.

On this note, investment in digging up and preserving the ancient marvels that are locked between layers of soil would be a much better investment than digging a soccer club out of debt. Tourists would flock to the country. Further, finding private investors to develop a first class tourist infrastructure would retain a continuous flow of tourists. When American, British, French, German, etc school children learn about Hellas, they learn about the ancient world. Imagine what a thrill they would get if they had the opportunity to visit the ruins restored professionaly! There would be a steady stream of tourists each year coming in the summer to Hellas and enjoying it instead of moaning about what a miserable country it is and how they saw what they saw and wil never come back.

Beyond the Parthenon, how about restoring Mystras and other Byzantine monuments. Why must we focus on the Pre-Christian Hellenes? That is a topic for another post...

Russia and Turkey

I recently read a report in the Kathimerini daily that claimed that since Turkey and Russia both actedlike Imperial states (Ottoman and Soviet respectivley) they would become closer allies in the future. A comment left by anonymous also claimed something to the contrary, but used a different example to support his claim.

I am a proponent of the opposite view, which is, because Russia and Turkey are acting like Imperial states, they are bound to clash. Already, some tension is rising (link) over genocides. Further reasons are the clash between Orthodoxy and Turkey in general (Halki, Moscow as Third Rome, etc). An addition to these sores is Cyprus, which the Mafya uses as a center for money laudering. This too will prevent Russia and Turkey from becoming Imperial chums. Finally, if Russia and Turkey were becoming friendly, then why would Russia choose to build a pipeline through Bulgaria to Alexandropolis instead of negotiating the tariffs with the Turks. Perhaps they realize that their relations with Turkey at the moment might look better than in the past, but the future estimate is shakey.

The Disease of British Youth

So, I say avoid the British like the plague, for the plague is found in them.

Pater Zeus' blog is right to complain about the Hellenic communities abroad in this post (Deutsche).While I cannot say I have been able to find any event as disgusting as the one occuring in Deutschland (link to Easter Party flyer), the general description of the greed, corruption, and uninspirational character of Hellenic events appears to be a worldwide phenomena.

On the easter flyer: I am not shocked that "fame story" (a reality T.V. show in Hellas) is a part of an event on Easter that is advertising go-go dancers. I just do not understand why the event is being advertised as an Easter party. Whoever would like to go to a traditional Paschal celebration, and is a good Christian, would find nothing appealing in this perversity.

Patriotc Forgery

I had once endorsed the website of "O.E.A." in a post. Well, I take it back. This group of self-described "Patriots" are nothing more than an attempt to divide Hellenic patriots movements in half. Some reasons why I do not recommend that people view this without their filters on alert:

They advertise the Communist rag "Rizospastis."
They attack the LA.O.S. party as an anti-Hellenic movement (!)
They advertise many New Age publicationst that have infiltrated the print market in Hellas such as Strange, Trito Mati, etc.

All these reasons make me suspicious of their aims and objectives.

It makes no sense how these people can claim that LA.O.S is anti-Hellenic whentheir leader Karatzaferis is asking many pertinent questions in the Europarliament. The burden of proof is on them since they are not doing more than slandering him on unsupported evidence.

Their claim of being Orthodox are merely there to fool the people who are patriots and are dazzled by their well designed site. It is not possible to be Orthodox and advertise New Age publications AND communist ones at that.

It had happend before, and it appear to be happening again. All of the sudden many Patriotic groups could emerge to split the patriotic vote up and ensure that there is no party that can claim the #% minimum to get into parliament.

Also notice how the Hellenic Front and LA.O.S. have now teamed up to assure that the vote is not split. What purpose could the O.E.A serve when trying to cast suspicion on the genuine Patriots?

Anarchy in Hellas

My question is, where are the fighers of the Right. The "Golden Dawn"? Their members probably constitute the only force capable of dealing with the threat from the left is too tied up in its neo-Nazi ideology to help Hellas out with this mess.

They too, I suspect, are part of the many "international" movements against Hellas that seek to usurp the traditional right into their lunatic fringe. It is our mission as rightists to A) save the Rightists from the neo-Nazi threat, and B) reclaim our boys from the neo-Nazis, organize them under the arm of the police force, and unleash them on the left who have gone crazy without a formidable force to oppose them.

A much more peaceful solution would be to just arrest ALL of the leftist/anarchists and toss them in jail until they repent their sins. Of course, the police force is still being ruled by PASOK while New Democracy governs the country. Therefore, not a hair on the chiny chin chin of these psychotic anarchists was or will be harmed.

Left International

Recently in Athens, there a gathering of Armenian protestors burned the Turkish flag in front of the Turkish embassy in Athens. What I noticed is that there was not protest by the International Leftist parties of Greece against the flag burning. These members of the globalized left bonded with their Armenian brothers without any hesitation.

Now, assume there had been a protest, held by Hellenes, against Turkey. Further assume that was such a protest was directed against the Turkish expansionist claims in the Aegean, the casus belli, denial of the Hellenic genocide in Asia Minor, constant violations of airspace and territorial waters by the Turkish military, and the occupation of the Northern part of Cyprus (boy does it seem that Hellenes have a lot to compain about regarding the Mongols). I do not think that even one member of the Left International would feel bonded with such noble patriotic causes. Instead, the left would condemn the Hellenes protesting for their national interest, and claim that the "Aegean is for the fish"...

This is the character of the globalized left in Hellas. They do not care about Hellenes. They hate them now as they did in the War Against Communist Agression in the 1940's. Today, these leftists are there to protect the interests of non-Hellenes in Hellas and their human rights. The rights of citizenship are damned by them.

The reasons for why these villains exist is quite obvious. With the fall of the Soviet Union, all the men and women who relied on the COMINTERN for food and clothing must have been feeling poor and hungry. Woe and behold, a new ideology sprang up that looked down upon the Nation, and embraced a globalized culture. This is perfect for the countryless who now take orders from Washington instead of Moscow.

This article points to some serious psychopathy in the Hellenic government. Some Hellenes play a prank by defacing the Turkish flag, and now the Turks are warning the Hellenes that this could result in the reconsideration of the "friendship" between the two countries. The Hellenic government on the other hand does not even dare to reconsider its friendly stance towards the "blight of Asia" whilst Turkish flying carpets violate Hellenic airspace. They continue on the path of rapprochement (new word for appeasement) by allowing the Turks to think that their expansionist politics in the Aegean will work.

The Hellenic government's stance will lead to war in the same way the Chamberlain's stance towards the Nazi's led to war. Too bad Hellas has no Churchill waiting on the sidelines.

The Horror

I am horrified that the noble men who defaced the Turkish flag are being sough out in an investigation. Although better pranks might have been done. It would have been very enjoyable to have heard that these men had defecated on a poster of Krazy Kemal Ataturk and then lit that on fire, videotaped the scene made, and then posted it online for all to see how angry Turks get when their genocidal idol is defaced. Anyhow, at least this is a signal that not everyone in the Hellenic armed forces like being peetrated by Turkophiles. The general staff should reconsider their apology in light of Erdogans latest words of hate and expansionism against Hellas.

Uncle Kissinger's Rice really does not seem to be able to think for herself when it comes to non-Soviet related matters. One the one hand she claims:

The negative outcome would be the continued rise of extremism and those who would hijack the great world religion to a cause that clearly has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is a peaceful religion...

On the other hand, it is claimed by members of the Turkish parliament that Erogan's government:

has been employing thousands of Islamic fundamentalists in violation of its secular constitution.An opposition parliamentary faction has accused Prime Minister Recep Erdogan of enabling the employment of thousands of Muslims who oppose Turkey as a secular state. The faction said the Islamic fundamentalists have entered all areas of government, including the Education Ministry.

Rice should either get with the times of Mein Kampf and Metal Storm, or she should simply leave her post since the days of the Soviet threat are over. Her comprehension of Turkey is based on information likely spoon-fed to her by the usual supporters of Turkey such as Paul Henze and her Uncle, the infamous war criminal Henry Kissinger.

It is my hope that Turkey will plunge into a terrible civil war by 2006-2008. Some analysts tell me that this is not an unlikely event since the pro-Europeanists are loosing ground in a Turkey where traditions die hard.

Millions of Chinese Arms in Hellas...

It would be a good thing if the Hellenes began to rely less on U.S. weapons systems. With the scuffles between the U.S. and Hellas over weapons breaking out like the pox ever since the cursed 7:10 ratio with Turkey, there is no good reason why the Hellenic military should rely on American weapons. Sure, America might produce sophisticated weapons sysetms, but these are expensive. Further, since the Turks rely on U.S. systems, it might be better to rely on countries that manufacture their own defense products designed to attack U.S. systems. China and Russia are key countries to develop relations with for this to occur.

Perhaps China could repay a Hellenic vote of support for the restarting of Euro-China trade in arms with a contract for weapon systems. I've been told that the 'ole Peoples Republic has a the ability to manufacture quite a devastating payload of of anti-satellite, anti-ship, and anti-aircraft weaponry. With these arms, the Hellenes could knock out any space based systems, naval forces, and air based weapons systems assisting a Turkish, Albanian, or Bulgarian force that act against Hellas.

There should be an open discussion on allegations that the Ottoman Empire committed acts of genocide against its Armenian citizens during World War One, Turkey's Prime Minister said Wednesday.

Of course, this discussion will take place in Turkey. The will use evidence from archives that have been purged of any evidence of genocide, and the Turks will say, hey, look, the primary sources say that we do nothing of genocide so bouahaha. Since the Turks have invested heavily in western "historians", these paid agents of the Turkey Republic will promote the Turkish view to all the middle class Americans who cannot think for themselves. In this way, Turkish mythology will be thought by the West to be well-researched historiography, and the Turks will be exonerated.

The Hellenic government meanwhile is in full snooze mode as Alexander the Great is portrayed as gay, Athena and Socrates as Black Africans, and the Turks did not oppress the Hellenes during the Ottoman Empire, but another race that is not Turkish but Ottoman did all those horrible things.

Were the plans of the 1915-23 Armenian [and Hellenic] Genocide actually drawn up and were in place by the year 1910 or 1912? According to some sources, definitely yes.

There is the book Inner Folds of the Ottoman Revolution written by Mevlan Zadeh Rifat and published in 1929, the author, a pro-sultan Turk, claims that the "Armenian genocide was decided in August 1910 and October 1911, by a Young Turk committee composed entirely of displaced Balkan Jews in the format of a syncretist Jewish-Muslim sect which included Talaat, Enver, Behaeddin Shakir, Jemal, and Nizam posting as Muslims. It met in the Rothschild-funded Grand Orient loge/hotel of Salonika." Syncretism means a combination of different forms of belief or practice; masonism fits that description.

A 1994 conference paper/lecture by Joseph Brewda of Schiller Institute entitled Palmerson launches Young Turks to permanently control Middle East claims the founder of the Young Turks to be a certain Jew by the name of Emmanuel Carasso. He states: "Carasso set up the Young Turk secret society in the 1890s in Salonika, then part of Turkey, and now part of Greece. Carasso was also the grand master of an Italian masonic lodge there, called 'Macedonia Resurrected.' The lodge was the headquarters of the Young Turks, and all the top Young Turk leadership were members."

Further on Mr. Brewda says: "During the Young Turk regime, Carasso continued to play a leading role. He met with the sultan, to tell him that he was overthrown. He was in charge of putting the sultan under house arrest. He ran the Young Turk intelligence network in the Balkans. And he was in charge of all food supplies in the empire during World War I." It is ironic that five centuries after the Turkish sultans welcomed the expelled European Jews into Turkey, certain Jews belonging to secret societies and to Zionism will kick the sultans out of power early in 20th century, destroy the Ottoman Empire, and celebrate their victory by massacring by proxy almost the whole Christian Armenian people, one million and half Armenians; half million Greeks; and half million Christian Assyrians & Arameans.

Mr. Brewda writes: "Another important area was the press. While in power, the Young Turks ran several newspapers, including 'The Young Turk,' whose editor was none other than the Russian Zionist leader Vladimir Jabotinsky. Jabotinsky had been educated as a young man in Italy."

Mr. Brewda, ignoring the possibility that Talaat could have been a secret infiltrated Jew, writes: "Of course, there were also some Turks who helped lead the Young Turk movement. For example, Talaat Pasha. Talaat was the interior minister and dictator of the regime during World war I. He had been a member of Carasso's Italian masonic lodge in Salonika. One year prior to the 1908 coup, Talaat became the grand master of the Scottish Rite Masons in the Ottoman Empire. If you go to the [archives of] Scottish Rite headquarters in Washington, D.C., you can find that most of the Young Turk leaders were officials in the Scottish Rite."

Mr. Brewda also mentions the novel Greenmantle, whose hero is a British spy who led the Young Turks, and that the book's author, John Buchan, later identified the novel's hero as the English nobleman Aubrey Herbert, who was the top British spy master in the Middle East during WW I. And that Lawrence of Arabia later identified Herbert as having been, at one time, the head of the Young Turks. According to Mr. Brewda, Carasso also appears in that novel under the name Carusso.

By 1916 the British and French, overpowered by greed, already had a secret agreement to divide the Ottoman Empire between themselves. Presently Hitler's Mien Kempt anti-semitic book is a best-seller in Turkey, it is published by various Turkish publishers by the thousands and thousands. Are the Turks finally waking up and realizing that their Sultan's refusal to grant Palestine to the Zionist Jews as a homeland had cost them their centuries- old empire?

Mr. Shack writes: "In the 1880's, the French branch of the Rothschild family acquired interests in Russia's Baku oil fields in an effort to supply their refinery on the Adriatic with cheap Russian oil. In exchange for these interests they built a railroad linking Baku to the newly acquired Black Sea port of Batum. This opened up the Baku oil, a major world supply, to the world. With the success of the new railroad, the Rothschilds had more oil than they could actually sell. Overcoming their fear of competing with the giant Standard oil [of USA], they sought out the huge [Far East] markets east of Suez."

Further on Mr. Shack makes his point: "The decision by the shrewd French Rothschild branch to diversify into other areas of oil exploitation was, presumably, a calculated one. Three years after they joined Royal Dutch, production at Baku would come to an abrupt halt in 1905. Although shaken by political activity, the principal disruption was due to the violence of the ethnic conflict between the region's Muslims and the minority population of Armenians who are Christians. This ethnic conflict caused the first interruption of oil distribution to the world market. Standard oil was quick to supplant the needs of the effected markets as its source was operating under the blanket of peace. The Royal/Dutch/Shell Group (and the Nobles) watched their Baku investments go up in flames. Ethnic conflict was at the root of the matter. It could be safely assumed that they were taking measures to eliminate the possibility of that happening in the future." Oil corporations seem to have learned their lessons from history because before the construction of present-day Baku-Ceyhan pipeline has began, someone has made sure that no Armenians were left in Baku anymore. Although the Armenian threat to that pipeline has been neutralized, yet there is still A Turkish ultra-nationalist revival threat, and a threat from Iran if Iran comes under attack from USA or Israel. There is a very clean prophecy of Nostradamus stating: "By firepower of armies, not far from the Black Sea, he will come from Persia/Iran to occupy Trebizond." Trebizond is located at the shore of the Black Sea and its occupation will virtually cut the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in half. Another prophecy of Nostradamus reads: "Toward Persia/Iran a sizable army of a million. The serpent Satan invading Byzantium and Egypt." Byzantium & Egypt could be a mystical name for modern Istanbul asSodom & Egypt is the mystical name given for Jerusalem in the book Revelation 11:8.

Mr. Shack notes that "the mere elimination of the Armenian population of Baku would not solve the problem of ethnic conflict in that region. The surrounding areas would provide reservoir effect in resupplying the conflicting minority element." And he asks: "was the removal [in 1915-23] of a small minority like the Armenians [from historical Armenia] a fair price to pay for the peace in a region so crucial to the development and investment of the Far East?" Apparently Mr. Shack ignores the factor of revenge raging in the heart of human beasts.

Mr. Shacks answers his own question by stating in his article about the big business or big corporations: "It would be fair to say that the genocide of a group of a million or so, to serve the benefit of a billion or so [in the Far East], is less of a question of should it be done, than how it could be done. So as not to reveal any plausible motive which could link the actual planners to the genocide, the scheme involved a proxy party [namely the muslim Turks, Kurds & Azeris] , which was manipulated through layers of influence, providing sufficient cover for the planners."

Hellenic Nationalist writes on Nikos Konstantopoulos (Attorney/Greek Leftist Leader/Brutal Wife Beater). He makes some valid points about the hypocrisy of the left and how they are not the ethical humanitarians that they portray themselves to be.

I'll add one more point to the strange case of Konstantopoulos. From the biography of Konstantopoulos (linked above) we learn that he

has also been active as a professional lawyer, specializing in various issues of institutional reforms, law modernization, criminal law and the defense of civil
rights.

His expertise in criminal law has provided him with a clientele that consists mainly of drug smugglers and similar vermin that inhabit the earth. The court records make this obvious, as do prison records. Therefore, this leftist scum defends the human and civil rights of the men who bring cocaine, heroin, and hashish (among other commodities) into Hellas to poison the minds and health of the fragile youth. It is more than likely that his law modernization consists of legalizing drugs so that smugglers and dealers will not have to have their human rights taken away from them because of their prison sentence.

At the same time, it must be noted that drug smugglers are usual tightly connected with the sex-slave industry. This industry is something that both left and Right deplore in theory, but only the Right does so in practice.

Getting Syrian troops out of Lebanon is in the best interests of the U.S. Getting Turkish troops out of Cyprus is also in the best interests of the U.S.!The failure to call for the removal of Turkish troops from Cyprus is a striking example of the double standard in Turkeyʼs favor. It is particularly distressing as the Turkish troops which invaded Cyprus caused substantial loss of lives, huge destruction of property and 200,000 Greek Cypriot refugees. Today, Turkey's armed forces occupy 37.3% of Cyprus. The reasons to call for the removal of Turkish troops from Cyprus are as compelling, and more so, than getting Syrian troops out of Lebanon.
Why hasn't President Bush called for the removal of Turkey's illegal troops and colonists from Cyprus and the tearing down of the Green Line barbed wire fence (as President Reagan called for the Soviets to tear down the Berlin Wall)? The answer is that he has followed the failed State Department policy of a double standard on the application of the rule of law to Turkey. That policy started in 1974, when Turkey invaded Cyprus with the illegal use of U.S. arms, and has continued to the present time.

Among them there were 16,503 homicides, up 1.7 percent over 2002, or nearly six cases in every 100,000 residents, and one of every 44 Americans aged above 12 was victimized. The Associated Press reported on June 24, 2004 that the number of violent crimes in many US cities were on the rise. In 2003 Chicago alone recorded 598 homicides, 80 percent of which involved the use of guns. The Washington D.C. reported 41,738 murders, robberies and other violent crimes in 2003, averaging 6,406.4 cases per 100,000 residents. In 2004 the District recorded 198 killings, or a homicide rate of 35 per 100,000 residents. Detroit,which has less than 1 million residents, recorded 18,724 criminal cases in 2003, including 366 murders and 814 rapes, which amounted to a homicide rate of 41 per 100,000 residents. In 2003 the homicide rate in Baltimore was 43 per 100,000 residents. The Baltimore Sun reported on Dec. 17, 2004 that the city reported 271 killings from January to early December in 2004.
The United States claims to be "a paragon of democracy," but American democracy is manipulated by the rich and malpractices are common. Elections in the United States are in fact a contest of money. The presidential and Congressional elections last year cost nearly 4 billion US dollars, some 1 billion US dollars or one third more than that spent in the 2000 elections. The 2004 presidential election has been listed as the most expensive campaign in the country's history (see htp://www.opensecrets.org/overview), with the cost jumping to 1.7 billion US dollars rom 1 billion US dollars in 2000. His unquestionable dedication to Hellenism:

Carathéodory accepted a post at the University of Smyrna in Anatolia. When the Turks razed Smyrna in 1922, Carathéodory saved the university library and moved it with him to the University of Athens, where he taught until 1924. Carathéodory was subsequently appointed professor of mathematics at the University of Munich.
Deep in his heart, Carathéodory felt himself above anything "Greek." The Greek language was exclusively spoken in the Carathéodory's house. His son Stephanos and daughter Despina went to a German high school, but they obtained daily additional instruction in Greek language and culture from a Greek priest. At home, they were not allowed to speak any other language.

He was the head of a church counsel for the Greek church of the Savior on Munich's Salvatorplatz. This church had been given to the Greek orthodox community by the Bavarian king Ludwig I, who greatly admired Greece. In the meantime, Carathéodory was well over 60 years old and plagued by
sickness.

Helped Einstein to develop theory of general relativity.

Albert Einstein had then around 1912 set aside his thoughts and ideas regarding general relativity theory and hoped with the help of the tools of Hamilton-Jacobi to arrive at deeper insights. With this in mind, on the 6th of September of 1916 he wrote to Carathéodory. At the end of his letter, Albert Einstein asked Carathéodory: "Would you think a little bit about the problem of closed time trajectories? Modern Hellenism

I've often heard (with disappointment) that modern Hellas has offered nothing to humanity. This is simply not true. There do exist Hellenes who have contributed to Hellenism and civilization post 1821. The problem is that we simply do not know who they are, what they did, and how they contributed. Why? The age old reason, Hellas has been governed by fools that do not want to create a country, but create their own private wealth. The only exception to this rule was the brief reign of Ioannis Metaxas. Perhaps instead of spending public money on private estates the members of the ruling class in the past and present could have paid marketing firms and publishing houses to establish that Hellenism has not died, and Hellenes continue to contribute to Humanity. Does the future look any better? No. It will not for a long time. For now, the word will have to be spread online by Hellenic Patriots.

So, from time to time I will be posting some information about the great Hellenic heroes of the post 1821 era.

Albanian Thuggery

This article (from the U.K.) describes some (ethnic Hellenic...which is not mentioned in the article) Albanians who are opposed to Club Med developing an exotic resort on what is now barren land.

Here are some excerpts:

Residents say that Club Med's local business partner, Dritan Cela, is developing land that is not his. They say the site, three miles from the highway, is rightfully theirs. No compensation has been offered, they say, after the long-term lease deal was agreed by the Socialist-led government of Prime Minister Fatos Nano.

With the help of one of the developer's bulldozers, security forces used batons to scatter the crowd. A dozen people including Kakome Bay's mayor, Vladimir Kumi, were arrested and several others were injured. Local women, who stoned the police, were beaten. A cameraman was also beaten up during the four-hour confrontation. "The bulldozer broke their ranks and then the police beat them up in a beastly way," a villager said. Florion Serjani, a spokesman for the Public Order Ministry, insisted that officers had shown restraint. "Police have removed the people and work has started. No one has been badly hurt. We used force but not violence," he said.

"Force, but not violence." Sounds like double-speak to me.

So what's the story here? Well, apparently the disenfranchised people who are being bullied by the Albanian government and Club Med are of the Hellenic minority in Albania. These people are discriminated against, and nobody cares. What if, the Hellenic government decided to bully away some land owned by Albanians living in Hellas to build a museum? I can assure you that Washington and the Big Bagel (New York) would throw a fit over the Hellenic violations of Albanian human rights. In the case of Club Med and the Albanian government crushing Hellenes in Albania, not a whisper.

In a surprise move, a Eurodeputy representing New Democracy in the European Parliament has raised this issue in Brussels.

Ancient Tetraskele, Modern Uses

The tetraskele (or swastika)is an ancient symbol. In Ancient Hellas, for example, it was a symbol of love. If you go to any archaeological museum in Hellas today you will find many imprints of the tetraskele on ancient pottery. However, it is usually associated with evil since Hitler utilized it.

Some scientists have discovered that its geometrical properties could make it suitable for quantum cryptography. The Pythagoreans knew of the mathematical significance of this shape, and today's scientists are rediscovering it. You'll notice that the source of the article is German. I wonder, under German law, are these scientists facing prosecution because of their discovery.

Turkey Signs Deal for Super Stallions

The first time Turkey took delivery of a stallion on wheels, an army of Greeks spilled out of it. However, Turkey’s latest agreement to purchase Super Stallion helicopters went much more smoothly.

Meeting in Ankara, Turkey’s undersecretary for the Ministry of National Defense, Lt. Gen. Sener Eruygur, and Sikorsky president Dean C. Borgman signed a $350 million contract for eight S-80E heavy-lift helicopters. (S-80E is the commercial designation for the H-53E Super Stallion.) The purchase is part of Turkey’s continuing effort to modernize its military. Last month, deliveries began on the first of 30 new glass cockpit S-70A-28D Black Hawks to the Turkish Land Forces and eight similarly equipped Seahawks to the Turkish navy.

The three-engine S-80E can carry up to 55 fully equipped combat troops or external loads up to 32,000 pounds. Sikorsky has delivered 226 H-53E Super Stallions/Sea Dragons to the U.S. military and 11 S-80M1s to the Japanese Defense Agency.

Deliveries of Turkish CSAR Cougars

Begin Eurocopter has delivered the first two of 30 combat search-and-rescue (CSAR) AS-532 Cougars to Turkey’s armed forces. The deliveries were part of a 1997 agreement worth 4.45 billion French francs (US$648.7 million in 2000 dollars). The contract calls for 10 AS-532UL Cougars to be delivered to the Turkish army and 20 AS-532UL/ALs to be delivered to the air force through February 2003. The agreement also created EUROTAI, a consortium consisting of Eurocopter and Turkey’s Tusas Aerospace Industries (TAI), to build components locally.

Father of two Antemi is alleged to have raped an unnamed 35-year-old woman and
her young [11 year old] daughter on November 8, after threatening them with a screwdriver at a building site in the suburb of Galatsi, where he also lived, according to police. Police said that there was an outstanding warrant for the arrest of Antemi, who was living legally in Greece, for other crimes, which they did not detail. I wonder, while Human Rights Watch, Helsinki Watch, and the rest of the alphabet soup of agencies concerned with the welfare of minorities in Hellas protest against alleged Hellenic violations of human rights, who is going to fight for the human rights of the Hellenes living in Hellas?

The communists and other liberal/middle ground political parties (New Democracy included) are all either fifth columnists, useful idiors, quislings, or neodosilogi. Moreover, they are what they claim not to be: members of an extreme-right movement known as globalism which seeks to undermine every nation state and civilization, replacing these with a tyranny that Stalin would be envious of. It only makes sense. With the end of the ideology of International Communism, these lonely vile people were left with nothing. Now they have globalism to fill the void of their destroyed lives.

It is these extremists that are undermining Hellenism. There is no question about it. If you are with the human rights you are against Hellas and the Hellenes. Too bad that the government itself is a right-wing globalist movement that will stop at nothing to prevent more immigrants from entering the country.

The globalists "friends of humanity" will likely not cry out for justice in this case, but will try to defend the Albanian rapist/pedophile. If they do not defend him, they will say that this is a rare case and we should all accept our new immigrant friends. Rubbish. They can all go home. If not, then they soak in the so-called discrimination against them, which is really only self-defense from those that remember the good old days (back in the early 1990's) when one could still sleep with the window open and not have to fear a criminal jumping in during the night.

The correlation between the rise of immigrants, legal and illegally, in Hellas and the rise in crime is not a coincidence. It occurs everywhere. Even in America, Mexicans terrorize Americans. But some concerned American citizens take organized actions to prevent these people coming into the country in the first place. Hellenes do not. They are absorbed with reality T.V.

It is not as if the immigrants are offering anything to the country besides cheap labor and crime. Go ahead and call me racist. If being a racist means defending mine and my families right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in my own country, then yes, I am a racist. In all reality, it is the globalists that are the true supporters of racism. They hate me living in my own country in accord with the tenets of my Hellenic culture: Orthodox Christianity.

I can only accept an immigrant that comes to Hellas, and fully assimilates. This does not only mean learning the language. It means becoming a Hellenic Orthodox Christian that practices the religion. It means learning the history of the country which he wants to adopt him. It means serving in the Hellenic Armed Forces with pride, honor, and valor. It means defending Hellenic interests against the interests of Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, the disgusting Globalists, and all other enemies of Hellenism. You either come to Hellas to become a Hellene, or you don't come at all. Being a Hellene does not mean cleaning out toilets in the day, getting paid, and then wiring the money back to Albania. It does not mean making a relatively small fortune in Hellas and then moving back over the border.

Solar Power

The Advanced submarine naval base in Northern Hellas is another positive sign that the Hellenic ministry of defense is on the right track. The Aegean is a sea that is more suitable to submarine warfare rather than frigate warfare. Hellas should have had the most advanced subnmarine fleet in Europe. Instead the Americans pushed frigates on the Hellenic Navy so that they could offload their junk. Hopefully there will be more purchases of small missile boats and submarines that are more suitable in the the Aegean.

The Turkish-American War

Should the Hellenic government have been confronted by Washington with regards to a similar book, I am sure that Karamanlis would be on his hands and knees begging his controllers in for mercy. Gul's remarks shows that the mentality of the Turkish government is that they are the inheritors of the new Ottoman Empire. The Hellenic government on the other hand has no similar vision of being the inheritors of the Byzantine Empire. They are the inheritors of the marionette strings that have been controlling almost all politicians since Hellas' independence. Metaxas is a notable exception.

On the other hand, Gul does not seem to be familiar with what genuine freedom of speech is. He thinks that the U.S. government has the power to prohibit any film it does not seem fit. America takes the first amendment (freedom of speech) seriously, and likely will not begin cracking down on the distribution of such classic documentaries of the Turkish prison system such as Midnight Express. A perfect depiction of Turkey and its primitive inhabitants.

Books are significant. In today’s digital age, many have come to forget this. They go online, see what some news site, blog, or online research organization has discovered and take it for granted that the information gathered comes from the world of printed media. It is there that one must begin his search for knowledge.

America offers plenty of free facilities, called libraries, that aid ones search for knowledge in any area of interest. This is one thing that I do admire about America, and an additional point of disgust with modern Hellas. Hellenes are deprived of a vast library network that is spread across the country. There is no neighborhood library where people may gather to read periodicals and check out books for free. Instead they flock to soccer stadiums, bars, clubs, and brothels. University libraries in Hellas are pathetic with their meager collection books. Compare this to America where there does exist a network of local libraries and the top 300 universities in the country have between 800,000 books to 18 million books apiece.

Why this apathy on the part of Hellas? I’m sure that the right will blame the left and the left will blame the right. I, being a loyalist to the Hellenic Republic blame both. The left is traditionally an anti-intellectual movement, and the right in Hellas has not had the vision to tear down the stadiums and build libraries in the villages. Instead, the Junta actually insisted that a soccer field be built in every village! I’ve yet to see a political party that has promised a library in every town. Sure, the national archives exist, but those are a joke since there is no serious collection effort, and the cataloguing is hideous. The new one will be built in Athens, another ludicrous move. Why not build it in Ioanina or Orchomenos?

Sadly, without a library (or even internet) Hellenes will continue to be blinded to their world, and continue to drown in their mass media reality. This is the likely reason why there is not a reading culture in Hellas. The souls possessed by mass media are easier to manipulate than those that are well-read. This, in my opinion, is why Hellas has no libraries. Moreover, this is also why the internet is not widely available in Hellas. Information threatens power.

Mustapha Kemal Ataturk is one of the most frightening anthropoids to exist in the 20th century. His bloodlust, hatred for Hellenism and Christianity, and genocidal exploits make him a hero to the Turks. Ataturk systematic ethnic cleansing of Hellenes and Armenians were admired by Hitler. Observing that nobody cared about the genocides of Asia Minor, he thought that the international community’s apathy towards mass murder would persist allowing him to cleanse Europe of the Jews.

What has always bothered me is that American policy makers hail the vicious Ataturk and his ideology which is embraced by Modern Turks as a role model for all Arab leaders. They praise his alleged introduction of secularism and democracy to Modern Turkey. Americans should be careful for what they wish for since Ataturk is more similar to Stalin or Hitler rather than the George Washington type that they envision him as. Ataturk did not embrace secularism. Had he, the Hellenic Orthodox religion would not be considered a threat to Turkish national security, as it is today. I find it ironic that Sadamm Hussein did truly create a secular state in the religiously charged Middle East. He allowed Christians into positions of power. Of course, no American would use Saddam as an example to be followed by the Arab world since he was a dictator who killed his own people. As was Ataturk.

But Ataturk is gone, and Turkey has changed, some naïve person might argue. No. Ataturk’s spirit is alive and well in the hearts and minds of citizens of the Mongolian anomaly. The preamble of the Turkish constitution reads:

In line with the concept of nationalism and the reforms and principles
introduced by the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Atatürk, the immortal
leader and the unrivalled hero…

With these words it becomes clear that the Mongolian entity proudly embraces Ataturk’s reforms including ethnic cleansing, pseudo-secularism, pseudo-history, a cult of personality, and a military regime in place to assure Ataturks immaterial ghost that the path of the civil government will never ever stray off the course of Ataturkist revolution.

PS: Replace the word Ataturk with Stalin or and ask yourself, is it a good thing that Turkey still worships Ataturk and defends this anthropoids actions when he is comparable to the Soviet madman?

U.S. And Turkey

A contact informed me of a frustrating conversation with a high ranking career diplomat of the U.S. Department of State.

He asked the official, why on Earth does the U.S. have an interest in Turkey when it is not a reliable ally? He remained the diplomat that during the 1973 Arab-Israeli war Turkey allowed the Soviet Union military overflight rights to Soviet aircraft flying to help the Arabs. The U.S., a NATO ally, was not granted these rights by the Turks because they wanted to help the Israel's. Further, a Soviet MIG pilot defected with his plane to Turkey, and once again, the unreliable Turks did not allow American intelligence or military officials to inspect the plane. Finally, the current Turkish infiltrating into Kurdistan are causing problems with the American occupation of that country. So, he asked, what is the point of maintaining a strategic relationship with a country that is not a reliable ally? The diplomats response was a sputter or two, and after trying to get out of the situation finally admitted that Turkey and America just agree to disagree at some times.

Turks, it appears, have the will power to play chicken with the Americans whereas the Hellenic govenrment tries all it can to make sure that the Americans are not disappointed with their actions towards the Turks. I've always thought that the Turks are operating as if they are still the rulers of the Ottoman Empire. The Hellenes operate as if they are not a sovereign nation that can never convince potential friends that their interests lie with Hellas rather than with the Turks. I

Over the weekend I attended a conference which was followed by a dinner gathering of some faculty members of the institute of higher learning which I attend. With the cocktails going round, the lips loosening, and the braggadocio of some professors/policymakers spilling secrets that would take months of researching to uncover in the open sources my ears were on high alert for conversations of interests. While the bull was being shot from one mouth to another an unnamed man who works with the U.S. intelligence community began to speak about nuclear weapons and how they are used today to deter terrorists. What I heard disgusted me.

After September 11, 2001 some lunatic in the Bush administration had the great idea of placing nukes in several Muslim holy sites in the Middle East. He or she believed that by doing so, the United States government could assure Bin Laden that Mecca would be wiped off the face of this good Earth should he strike against America again. Further, the nukes were to be activated if the geographic boundaries of Israel were to be disturbed by her feisty neighbors. This, he explained is why there have not been any attacks. The problem, he complained, was getting the Arab governments to believe that the threat was real, and then getting the word to Bin Laden. Well, it did.

I can now understand Iran’s position in its quest for nuclear fuel/weapons. America has justified this quest. The United States, being the only country that has used nukes (and using nukes) for strategic purposes must be disarmed immediately. Enola Gay, General Macarthur with his nuclear fetish, and several Cold War episodes are more than enough evidence that America cannot be trusted with the power to hold onto nuclear weapons.

Keep the memory of Panayotis Blahakos, Hector Yallopsos, and Christodoulos Karathanasis alive. These fine men died in service to their country.

The politicians in Athens did not for a second think of the words of General George Patton when thinking about their strategy for resolving the crisis around Imia: "The objective of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his". When will Hellenes follow this logic?

The analysis of the Imia crisis offered by Hellas.org offers the explanation that the reason why we failed to win. The crisis was handled as a political not a military one. Of course, war and politics are intertwined, but the Hellenic government is composed of a heap of politicians that do not have the will for war. The Hellenes of the past two decades have been brainwashed into accepting tha twar is wrong no matter what. NO. War is a neccesary evil that allows a country to maintain its sovreignty.

In my opinion, there was a better strategy that could have been followed. Instead of sending the fleet over to the island, the politicans should have sent a high ranking Hellenic Orthodox priest to bless the island and raise a cross. Within a few days a church should have been built on the island.Of course, such actions should have begun in 1994 Hellas should have gone and built churches on all the small islands near Turkey so that claims of so called grey zones would be more difficult.

In Memory of Ioannis Metaxas

On January 29, 1941 one of Modern Hellas’ greatest leaders, Ioannis Metaxas, passed away.

Born on the island of Ithaki (Ithaca) on the 12 of April 1871, Metaxas was a student at the Military Academy in Athens from 1885 to 1889. He fought in the Turkish War of 1897 under the leadership of Crown Prince Constantine. In 1899 until 1903, Metaxas was in Berlin studying at the War Academy there. During the First Balkan War (1912-1913) Metaxas served on the general staff.

May we remember his accomplishments and honor his memory. When one reads Metaxas’ diaries, he will understand that the Metaxas’ character was a rare phenomenon in Modern Hellenic history. As a leader, he wanted the best for his country. He used logic and reason to come to his decisions. To demonstrate his rationality I offer you this evidence to contrast with Eleftherios Venizelos’ irrational behavior in the pursuit of the Megali Idea. Metaxas opposed the campaign in Anatolia which ended catastrophically. Of course, after the fact, he was vindicated. Had the government listened to him before the venture, perhaps Anatolia would still have a sizable Hellenic population.

He was appointed Prime Minister by King George II on 13 April 1936, and on August 4 1936 his dictatorship was established with the King. What many forget to mention is that Hellas’ democracy was (and is today) not functional. In February 1938, Metaxas attempted to eliminate all traces of democracy and to create a police state that was underpinned with social welfare, minimum wage legislation, and the creation of public works. It was
a mixture of old-fashion authoritarianism based on Hellenic Orthodoxy, coporatism, and a cult of Hellenism. The cultural climate thus created, referring back to Spartan ideals and imbued with militarism and moral censorship, left to bans not only the disgusting works of Marx and Lenin but also the works of the infamous Heine, Freud, Shaw. The Antigone of Sophocles and works by Thucydides were also censored. With all the respect I do have for Metaxas, the Hellenic texts should not have been censored.

When reading Metaxas' diaries (and not commentaries of them) one sees that Metaxas himself was an intellectual man who was extremely well read. I wonder, is any documentation of what books where in his library existant? Of course there are his refrences in his diaries, but those are not all his books.

I doubt that many politicians today have picked up any books other than the latest trash novel. The politicians then and today were and are giant statues with clay feet. Metaxas was a giant with titanium feet. It is about time that we review this man with an unbiased historical lense. To crack the leftists myths surrounding Metaxas would be to raise the expectations of the Hellenic people to demand leaders of his quality.

Inside Hitler’s Greece. The title of the book is misleading and misinforming to say the least, unless Mark Mazower wants, by resuscitating the past, to justify the present and capitalize for the future within the European Union.

In fact the Axis powers divided Hellas into three zones of occupation. The Germans controlled Athens-Piraeus, Thessaloniki and the area between Aliakmon and Strymon rivers as well the Aegean Islands and Crete; the area from the Strymon River to the Greek Turkish frontier was annexed by the Bulgarians; the rest of the country went to the Italians until the Italian armistice of 8th September 1943. All the occupiers were as brutal as their Germans allies were. The Germans were not either more or less brutal than the Anglo-Americans, Russians and French in Germany after the war (Perry Biddiscombe, Werewolf!), British in Cyprus (The Black Book of British Crimes in Cyprus, unpublished and decaying in the archives of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs.), French in Algeria (General Paul Aussaresses, The Battle of the Casbah). This is has been the case of the occupiers around the world and the entire history of mankind.

The real beast during this tragic period was the communist barbaric ELAS who fell upon the unarmed Hellenes and murdered, murdered, murdered. It would have been interesting if "professor" Mazower had included in his book some statistics: i.e. how many Germans were killed by ELAS activities, how many Hellenes were executed by the German and how many Hellenes were murdered by the ELAS and its cohorts of thugs. The real heroes of this tragic period, the Hellenic Governments in occupied Hellas are vilified and called "collaborationists". The real collaborationists were the politicians who escaped in Middle East and on the payroll of the British spent their days conspiring against each others and their night in the cabarets of Alexandria (Egypt). This behavior forced the Nobel Prize George Seferis to write: "the ineptitude and stupidity of the Greek ruling class makes you vomit" (George Seferis. War Diaries).

The famine of 1941-42, the most tragic event of the period which had reached genocidal proportion, an estimated 7% of the prewar 7.5 millions of the Hellenes population died because of the famine, is dealt in such a way to put the entire blame on the Germans, and whitewash the British. In reality the British blockade of the Mediterranean was the major cause of starving the Hellenic people to death. (Pau Maun, Per Arma Caritas). In Greek). It was a blockade that was enforced selectively to target the Hellenes, while Vichy France had all of the Mediterranean supply routes open. It has been commented that the "only direct blockade advantage that the Allies could have hoped to draw from the starvation of Hellas was the embarrassment of German transport arrangements, rather than any appreciable diminution of Axis supplies". This obviously was hardly worth the tens of thousand dead due to the British policy of genocide by famine in Hellas

As far as the annihilation of the Hellenic Jewry "professor" Mazower offers the paradigmatic truth. The fate of the Jews in Hellas was sealed by the impious alliance between Nazism and Zionism. The Germans would not be able to round up the Jews in Thessaloniki (or Salonika, if he wishes) without help from Zionist groups. Along with the Germans the so-called Albala Command operated in an efficient and effective way to deliver the Jews to their exterminators. Famine Holocaust

BBC had the audacity to report on the lost Jews of Greece. The writer of the article makes sure that there is no doubt in the readers mind that the Jewish population of 80,000 in Hellas was wiped out by the Nazi’s. Conveniently, the BBC fails to mention that England is directly responsible for the death of 7% of the Hellenic population in the winter of 1941-1942. Women, children, men and the elderly all lost their lives during the great famine that was a result of the British blockade. For more on this, please refer to my review of Mazower’s Inside Hitler’s Greece.

I ask, why should Hellas have a holocaust memorial day that focuses on the suffering of one religious group consisting of 80,000? Why do we not officially remember the approximatley 500,000 victims of the British blockade? If the government wishes to be politically correct, they can remember the Jews too. Instead of rewriting the school books to emphasize the Jewish Holocaust, they could at least have the courage to say that they will also rewrite the books to remind Hellenes of the British holocaust. Further, Britain must acknowledge its genocide as Germany did hers. The situation as it is today slanders the memory of the victims of the Famine Holocaust.

Graecosaxon: Panos Valvanis

Graecosaxons are everywhere. Whenever I see an article about Hellas or by a person bearing a Hellenic name, a Graecosaxon’s nonsense is either lurking somewhere in the text or the text was written by the Graecosaxon him or her self..

Panos Valvanis is a classical archaeologist at the University of Athens. I admit, I have never read any publications by him. Some quotations that appear in the magazine Archaeology attributed to Valvanis are enough to make sure that I never touch a work of his. Unless it is to cut his argument to pieces with the ancient diamond of logic first conceived by the glorious Hellenes of better days. I will get to Valvanis in a moment, first I will briefly outline the article his anti-Hellenic mutterings are to be found.

The title of the article is called The Gods Return to Olympus: In Today’s Greece, worshipping Zeus is a Controversial Practice. It describes a movement currently underway in Hellas that aims to revive the Ancient Hellenic Religion. Overall, these good Hellenes simply want to worship Zeus instead of Jesus, complain about Christianity destroying ancient temples, and complain that they are not allowed to worship at ancient temples.

I have not done enough research to comment on their desires, but I think that it is not a bad movement. I am a proud Hellenic Orthodox Christian Patriot who will live and die by the tenets of my religion, but these Revivalists are also Patriots and for this I must commend them. I would rather have a number of Revivalists sharpening their knives in preparation to skin the enemies of Hellas residing in Hellas instead of a Graecosaxon Orthodox Christian looking for any opportunity to demean his nation and heritage. The agenda of the Graecosaxon is more hostile to Hellas than that of the Revivalist.

To further my point about the good people of the Revivalist movement I will here quote the article at a point before Valvanis is introduced.

“The Greeks are different in that their values are deeply bound to the glory of the ethnos – a word that unifies all of the biological and cultural facets of nationality…with the country’s integration into the European Union, the collective anxiety over loosing “Greekness” only amplifies the urge [to be Hellenic]. And so among the Hellenes followers are also found a large and sordid assortment of extreme nationalists.”(66).

And out comes Valvanis rearing his ugly words to make sure that the foreign reader does not think for one moment that Hellenic nationalists have any reason to be proud for the miracle of the Hellenic intellect. Valvanis writes: “But Valvanis notes that a wide spectrum of Modern Greeks –not only the pagans- are convinced that everything in their ancient world evolved with them. ‘Although they say their alphabet for instance, comes from Linear B, the Mycenaean alphabet, there is a gap of 400 years between the destruction of the Mycenaean palace system and the first appearance of the Greek alphabet,’ he [Valvanis] observes, pointing out that the Greeks ended up adopting the Phoenician alphabet. ‘The Ancient Greeks recognized that knowledge came from the East, and they respected the Egyptians and Phoenicians very much’ says Valvanis. ‘Educated Greeks such as Herodotus and Plato like to go there. They expressed in their texts that they took a lot of their knowledge from the Egyptians and Phoenicians. The Ancient Greeks didn’t only invent things themselves –rather, their special gift was to adapt from their neighbors, and change and improve”.

NO! The Ancients were not how Valvanis describes them. Instead of supporting the Afrocentric view, why don’t you do some serious scholarship like Robert Hahn has done regarding where the Hellenes got their ideas? In Anaximander and the Architects, Hahn offers a contrary view:

“Several scholars have argued the strong claim that what we admire about Hellenic civilization was derived ultimately from Egypt –the so called Afrocentric hypotheses…It is obvious to anyone who compares Hellenic with Egyptian monumental temple architecture that there are more important differences in style and function. The Greeks were not simply imitator architects, but they did not develop the entire art from ground zero either. Possibly they learned a few things that were both relevant and material to their philosophical activities but they were certainly not imitators of Egyptian philosophy” (Hahn, 40).

Hahn’s view is more fair and balanced than Valvanis’ effort to please someone, somewhere, sitting in some endowed chair. This so that he to may be able to go research at his pushers university by means of degrading his country and himself instead of doing some scholarly research. While Hahn’s view is still not satisfactory by my standards, overall his book is not a bad read that should have been written by a Hellene.

Chemically Enhanced Albanians

The Washington Post reported earlier in January that stockpiles of chemical weapons were found in concrete bunkers in Albania. These weapons, imported from China by the dictator Hoxcha to protect Albania from its enemies. One of the letters to the editor regarding the article says: "I was surprised that Joby Warrick's Jan. 10 article did not mention the regular presence of al Qaeda in, and visits by Osama bin Laden to, Albania in the mid to late 1990s." and he also reminds us that "In July 1999 then-Defense Secretary William S. Cohen canceled a visit to Albania to avoid a "hornet's nest" of Osama bin Laden militants and operatives, as one television network described the situation." William must been quite confused since he had just finished bombing Serbia to the ground for the sake of some Albanian scoundrels. The Clinton administration never took Osama as seriously as they should have, and that is why Qaeda had all the time it needed (from 1996 when Osama declared war on America) to prepare for September 11, 2001. I wonder, do Bubba (Clinton) and Cohen ever stop, kneel down, and start banging their heads on the pavement regreting their catastrophic policy in the Balkans?

I'm quite certain that the majority of the good people of Albania are not members of the K.L.A. or U.C.K. Some might sympathize with the declared objectives of these terror groups, while others might not. However, I am certain that regardless of a persons stance on these groups, should there be any gains by U.C.K. in its quest for a Greater Albania, the moderate Albanian will not demand a return to the current status quo.

Turkey, the Blight of Asia

An anonymous commentator wrote on H.H.E. George Horton’s The Blight of Asia. The full name of the book is The Blight of Asia: An Account of the Systematic Extermination of Christian Populations by Mohammedans and the Culpability of Certain Great Powers; With the The True Story of Smyrna (well that's a mouthful!). It is a must read for anyone who would like an unbiased account of the genocide at Smyrna. Horton was a Consul in the region for over 30 years.

On a lighter note, Horton was a PhilHellene who has written many books about Hellas that are actually quite entertaining glimpses of what life was like in the country back then. I also recommend Home of Nymphs and Vampires: The Isles of Greece. In one of the stories, and I cannot remember exactly which one, Horton wonders: Why do the Hellenes try to act more American than the Americans? The poor man was vacationing on a Hellenic isle in the Aegean with the hope of escaping American culture, and the Hellenes were dancing to the latest American tunes.

Today they still dance on the islands instead of relaxing to the sound of waves and sight of stars. The tune of the enslaving techno beat and laser lights of clubs are more appealing to young and old trendsetters alike. In the Ancient days a drum beat was used to keep the trireme rowers in sync. Today it is used to keep the masses in sync.

Graecosaxon: Eleftherios Venizelos

In the book The Tragedy of Greece by S.P.P. Cosmetatos (rare) offers a glimpse into one notorious Graecosaxon, Eleftherios Venizelos. I’ll quote excerpts from this work with the hope of shattering the enduring myth of Venizelos. In case your eyes get sore reading these, I’ll let you know that I’ve saved the most damning evidence for last.

On the outbreak of war, Serbia appealed to Greece for military aid, on the strength of the Greco-Serbian alliance, but Mr. Venizelos had no difficulty in pointing out to the Serbian Government that there as no casus foedris (Cosmetatos, 6).

On 18^th August, 1914, Venizelos stated in the Council of Ministers that he had formed the conviction that the war would terminate in three weeks time in the complete defeat of the Central Powers. As it was important that Greece should be among the victors, he proposed to offer Greek military assistance to France and Britain….The reply this time came promptly. The Entente thanked Greece, but thought that for the present it was not desirable that there should be any extension of the war in the Balkans. Weeks and months passed, but events did not confirm Venizelos’ prognostications (Cosmetatos, 7-8).

What was asked of Greece [by the Entente] was that she should send her armies 400 kilometers beyond her frontiers without consideration of their communications, which would remain exposed for hundreds of kilometers –in Macedonia- to a Bulgarian attack. It was known in Athens that the Bulgarians we already the allies of the Central Powers, but Paris and London obstinately refused to admit the fact. Venizelos and the general staff accordingly made Greek consent conditional on the active cooperation of Bulgaria and also of Roumania; and this the Entente could not guarantee.

So far as appearances went, Greece continued to remain neutral. At Salonica, however, with the cooperation of the Greek authorities, a great Serbian supply depot had been established. Finally, at the time of the great Austrian offensive in November, King Constantine sanctioned the loan to Serbia of nearly the whole of the stock of shells in the hands of the Greek artillery. This was done to save the Serbs who were short of munitions and were retreating precipitately before the Austrians. The service which Greece rendered to the cause of the Entente on this occasion was inestimable for the Allies were still short of munitions (Cosmetatos, 8-9).

In connection with the matter there is a fact that should not be lost sight of. The shells given to Serbia were subsequently made good to Greece by France. On the delivery of the shells, however, the Greek authorities pointed out that almost the whole of these were not of the right caliber for the Greek artillery…A year later, at the time of the German-Bulgarian invasion of Serbia, the Entente asked Greece to enter the war at a day’s notice, forgetting that they themselves had ruined Greece’s small store of munitions. And it will be seen later on that the suddenness and rapidity of the German-Bulgar march in the autumn of 1915, and the inadequacy of the Allied production of munitions, prevented this lamentable error from being repaired in time (Cosmetatos, 9).

Finally, the Entente made a third attempt, on 15^th February 1915, to persuade Venizelos to send help to the Serbs. Venizelos refused for the same reasons as before. Their three refusals, although determined by the logic of necessity, caused considerable bitterness in Paris and London against Venizelos…Under these conditions Venizelos’ only means of rehabilitating himself was to become the pivot of the reconstitution of the Balkan League –so much desired by the Entente- and to endeavor to induce Bulgaria to come in by means of a cession of Greek territory. This conception, itself due to a sudden bellicose impulse, led Venizelos to address to the king two confidential letters in which he proposed to cede to Bulgaria, the hereditary enemy of Greece, the richest province of his country-the Macedonian district of Drama-Cavala- as the price of Bulgaria’s active participation in the war on the side of the Allies; Greece eventually receiving in Asia Minor the cession of an area which he was please to estimate (without the knowledge of the Entente) at 125,000 square kilometers. It was on this occasion that in order to safeguard the person s and property of the Greeks living in the district to be ceded to Bulgaria, Venizelos first conceived the inhuman idea of forcible exchange of populations, an idea of which he subsequently secured approval at Lausanne and which has brought the Greeks more ruin and misery than a long and costly war (Cosmetatos, 10).

Tomes can be written on Venizelos' treachery. How he was installed into power by the French and British after they bombed Athens with their fleet. Imagine the U.S. sixth fleet today, sailing up to Pireaus harbor, bombing Athens, and afterwards declaring that Yorgo Papandreou is now the Prime Minister of Hellas just because the U.S. deems that its might is right.

Do you think that we should rename the airport from it current name of “El. Venizelos”? I have always thought it is a name more fitting for a Spanish airport rather than the Athens airport. Now, it appears I was wrong. Worse than Spanish, it is the family name of a Graecosaxon. Will we ever see an Ion Dragoumis, Adamantios Korais, or Ioannis Metaxas International airport? Doubtful.

On Rejecting Turkey

On Saturday the 22 of January the president of the French political party Front National and Euro congressman Jean Lepen visited Athens and appeared on a panel discussion hosted by Michael Voridis’ Hellenic Front party. This was part of a campaign against Turkish membership in he E.U. organized by Hellenic Front. The French politician gave an interview at 11:15 a.m. with Christos Harito, the director of communications of Hellenic Front, to the press. Also present at the interview was Karl Lang, a Euro congressman and member of Front National.

Lepen was accepted by the crowd who honored him with an enduring ovation and acclaim. The enthusiastic support for the French politician, who has always supported Hellas in the Euro Parliament, was apparent. In the conference room where the interview was held, the wall was lined with the posters of Hellenic Front and Front National on which proclamations against Turkish entry into the E.U were written.

Christos Harito translated for the large gathering of major newspaper, television, and electronic journalists who were covering the event.

Haritos introduced Lepen, who saluted and him with the following words: “We are uniting our forces with the force of Front National. We are honored to have with us Jean Marie Lepen, who was chosen by 6,000,000 French patriots to represent them as their President. This was achieved in an environment where fear and an unimaginable amount of political pressure dominated the campaign against him. We are with him because we believe, as he does, that Turkey should not be admitted into the European Union.”

Immediately afterwards, as the applause died down, Lepen took the stage.

“I have a special bond with Hellas: social, political, and emotional. My wife is a Hellene, and this makes me a PhilHellene. I am feeling anguished, as a self respecting human would be if saw a person drowning, and above all, the drowning person belonged to his family. An ancient dictum says that when Zeus wanted to destroy someone, he would first drive him mad. Only in this context can someone scrutinize the decisions of the support the Hellenic government gives Turkey for its membership in the European Union. The Ancient gods of Hellas shut their eyes on a republic in order to show them the mistakes it made, and to help the leaders see reason. That is my role. I have come here to Hellas to close the eyes of the [Hellenic] Republic and point out its mistake.

The stance of the Hellenic government and all traditional political parties who envision Turkey in the E.U. is inconceivable and inapprehensible. A YES in favor of Turkey’s accession into the E.U. is a direct threat to the security and integrity of Hellas, and essentially its national existence. If the Hellenic government and the established political parties do not say NO to Turkey, Cyprus, Dodekanisa, and all the Hellenic regions bordering Turkey will be occupied within a few years by the Turks. This will occur without a war having been fought.

Turkey should not be allowed to enter the E.U. because it is not a European country. Neither geographically, historically nor culturally. By analogy, if we were to develop a soccer team, then we would not invite basketball and volleyball players to the try outs. We would invite soccer players to apply. Similarly, if we wanted to create a European Union, we would invite European countries and not Asiatic ones like Turkey.

I still remember what my father used to tell me when I was young. He had been on a French frigate during the destruction of Smyrna in 1922. The frigate was not able to approach the waterfront because the sea was filled with corpses of slaughtered Hellenes. A French landing team found 1,000 patients butchered in Smyrna’s hospital. That is Turkey. Perhaps you will respond that a lot of time has passed and that such incidents have been blown away by the northeastern winds. However, these winds only change the picture temporarily, the substrate remains the same and sooner or later the same picture surfaces once again.

Allow me to tell you one parable from the Dark Ages. When Joan of Arc was asked by her judges why as a Christian she did not love the British, she answered that she did love them, but she only loves the British in their own country. In the same way, we do not hate the Turks, we love them, but in their own country.

As a friend I have the following advice to offer Hellenes. REGAIN YOURSELFS. At this moment you can avoid the worst. If you do not wake up, then in a few years it will be too late. In Hellas today, there exists a patriotic party, which can offer solutions to the problems Hellas has. This is the Hellenic Front, and Makis Voridis and I tell you to support them with all of your efforts.”

American Phobias

The brouhaha caused by some Americans complaining about the Athens 2004 Opening Ceremony is indicative of a new American cultural trend which seeks to protect us all from obscene mass media.

Americans do need to understand that their phobia with things obscene is a grand irony. I’ll quote a footnote that can be found in the New York Review of Books, February 10, 2005:

The U.S. television network that recently broadcast a passing glimpse at Janet Jackson’s anatomy was excoriated for its wanton lapse of taste; but the avalanche of accompanying commercials for products designed to enhance male potency passed quote without comment. The female breast, it seems, can rot the nation’s moral core; but malfunctioning penises are wholesome family fare. (p. 37)

Replace the words “Janet Jackson” with “a women costumed as a Hellenistic statue” and you’ve got the authors words in the context of the opening ceremony.

The culture of rape and promiscuity promoted by Hollywood, hip-hop, and college fraternities seem to be ignored by Americas cultural crusaders.

This movie is a must see for all Hellenes. Filmed in Hellas in 1962, the historical depiction is actually not bad. Hellas saved the Western world is the intended message of the film.

Now, why aren't epic films based on Hellenic history and mythology filmed in Hellas anymore. For instance, Troy was shot in Malta. Wouldn't it be nice if some good old fashioned Hellenocentric films were shot in Hellas today?

Full of bias, preconceived notions, and innuendos describes Taki Mihas’ book Unholy Alliance: Greece and Serbia in the Nineties. The material condition of his existence determines what is going on his realm of consciousness. Mihas has decided to become a pseudo-intellectual pop shlockmeister looking for a quick buck.

In this excellent work of fiction with footnotes, Mihas offers the reader evidence of his pernicious understanding of international law and relations which happen to coincide with those of the American government. The strong do what they must and the weak suffer as they must.

Too simplistic and sadly inaccurate. If he has the answers to a world more complex than is known, please offer them up for debate. Standing on a soapbox and waxing fondly over events gone by is neither helpful nor wanted, meaning that history is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash in war, the loser is obliterated and the winner writes the history books- books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe.

Hellenes paid a high price in blood and destruction over the last 60 years fighting side by side with the American people for freedom and democracy to let any obscure individual, driven by self hate, in order to distort the facts and present them in a way to satisfy those who atavistically hate everything Hellenic.

Mihas writes about human rights, but he should remember that they are a universal good for everybody on the earth to enjoy and not to be considered as a tool to exercise foreign policy.

The several human rights outfits and the sorry groups of human right activists which sprang up from nowhere after the end of Cold War reminds one of the Congress for Cultural Freedom and its later revealed C.I.A. connection. These new human rights organizations also take you back to the International Rescue Committee, which had been absorbed into the American foreign policy establishment, and thus evolved to a global operation functioning as a link in the C.I.A.'s covert network.

The Serbs, victims of the Anglo-Saxon weapons of mass murder (WMM), are blocked out from the space of global representation that define the moral perceptions of the largest segment of world opinion.

Vacation in Hellas

Avoid staying on one island or in Athens. Sail the wonderful Aegean Sea (windy and wavy), Gulf of Corinth (calm, barely any wind), or Ionian Sea (via the Gulf of Corinth). This way you will have the opportunity to experience the larger, famous, bustling islands (Mykonos, Ithaka, Kephalonia, etc.), and you'll be able to find your own private paradise in one of the thousands of uninhabited islets accesible only to those who partake in the Hellenic sailing tradition.

What is the etymology of the popular term O.K.? It is not an obvious abbreviation for any English phrase. For instance, “Oll Korrect” just makes no sense. According to a French diplomat who I had the pleasure of meeting a while back, this is how the term O.K. was born.

Back in the 1800’s, when America was rushing to realize its manifest destiny by building railroads to connect the East Coast with the West Coast, immigrants from Hellas were carrying out the dreadful task of laying down the rails so that the New York elite could get across the treacherous plains infested with “Injuns”, beyond the twisting slopes of the unforgiving Rocky Mountains and arrive safely in San Francisco within a week. The early Hellenic Diaspora worked hard, but building a railroad is not easy work. A damaged rail could derail the locomotive. Such a tragedy would cost lives, money, and ruin the public opinion regarding long distance rail travel. So, the Hellenes developed a way to keep track which rail was set, and which was not in order to avoid tragic mistakes. Rails that were in condition to carry traffic were labeled with the initials “O.K.” for Όλα Καλά (Ola Kala). This translates into all good.

All was not O.K. for the Hellenic immigrants back then. They were considered inferior to the Negroes. Opportunities to dominate the restaurant business were not available to them because of their race. Hence, the reason why they were driving spikes into the tracks for a living. With the birth of the Ku Klux Clan (Ku Klux from the word κύκλος [circle]) after the Civil War, Hellenes could be seen from time to time hanging lifeless from Southern trees. Now, why on Earth would the fascistic groups in Hellas be corresponding with the Ku Klux Klan today? That will remain a topic for another post.

The victory of Eurocup 2004 must be a lesson for Hellenes around the world. Unite and you will achieve a goal to further your glory. Just as the Hellenic National Soccer team has a leader with strong discipline and tough work ethic, Hellenes should set the same standards for their government. The Hellenic soccer team has gained respect throughout the international soccer community. The Hellenic government remains a lot of good for nothing rascals (with a few exceptions of course).

Back in July, some chose to try and spoil the rare moment that a Hellene could be proud of his existence. The Globalists accused the rightfully happy fans that were overreacting to the event. These poor people have a severe allergic reaction to high concentrations of blue and white bars with cross in the upper corner to the right. This must be the reason why they turn Hellas' flags into soot. This for them is not an overreaction. The only burning flag that these scoundrels will cry for is the rainbow flag of peace.

Dervish to the Rescue

We Hellenes mourn for the death of the sailors of the Lady O. We apologize for not shooting down some Turkish jets and helicopters to help us better focus on the immediate mission of saving your entire crew. Turkish search and destroy squads aiming to exploit the tragedy for their political gain caused more deaths than should have occurred.

The dervish of Turkey’s unneeded assistance during the rescue operation occurred less than a week after a multi day and night search and rescue exercises with American and Israeli forces. Perhaps Attila never fully comprehended how to implement the “rescue” part of the military exercises.

In the Balkans, actions speak louder than words, and Turkish actions have been quite clear since the 1970’s. It seems that Hellas’ political elite was absent from Hellas too long and forgot the realities of the unfortunate geopolitical environment while they were being reformed in foreign universities. Today, the buffoons calling themselves leaders dance, laugh, and play koumparo with their Turkish masters. This while meekly conforming to ideaologies made in the U.S.A. America’s brilliant strategy of bringing the natives to America, educating them, and then outsourcing them back to Hellas that their will be no leaders working to further the national interest.

The Hellenic military must keep up their good work. Were it not for the Air Forces’ victories in mock dog fights, I doubt that negotiations between Hellenes and Turks would occur since the Turks would see no point in the tedious task of diplomacy. The restraining foreign policy created in the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs must be shredded and remade to take Hellas’ defense interests into account. Perhaps diplomats could be reminded of Carl von Clauswitz’s observation that “war is a continuation of politics by other means”. On the one hand, it does not seem that Hellenes understand this, while on the other hand this philosophy is what has allowed Turkey to survive. Hellas must change course now. Otherwise the Aegean Sea is lost, and Mount Olympus will be the next target of the whirling dervish.

C.I.A.'s 2020 Vision

Having read the recent assessment by the U.S. intelligence community of what the world will possibly look like by 2020 in Mapping the Global Future: Report of the National Intelligence Council's 2020 Project, I must say it was a surprise to see the CIA implicitly saying that Turkey should be kept out of Europe for the sake of the E.U's security. I'll include two passages from this publication here to support this observation.

This can be found on page 65 of the report in a mock U.N. Secretary General private diary.

I would say it started when Europe and America began to get together again. It turns out Venus and Mars cross each others orbits from time to time. The 2010 terrorist attacks in Europe had a lot to do with it. They changed attitudes and suddenly the Europeans had a better appreciation of catastrophic terrorism –a whole different kettle of fish from what they had known. Politics quickly became energized, particularly as the attacks were seen as totally unjustified. The seriousness of the attacks was such that Europe and America got beyond the name-calling and, in fact, Europeans began imploring America to get tough on terrorism.

Now, you might be wondering why a terrorist group struck Europe in 2010. Well, this report has some interesting remarks regarding the rise of Arab terrorism in the E.U. On page 66 we read:

On the European side, a lot had to do with Turkish accession- something I never expected to see. With the prospect of Turkey coming in, the Europeans realized that their border was now squarely in the Middle East and that meant they had to be more prepared to deal with the problems of terrorism, fundamentalism, youth bulges, etc.

So, this report seems quite clear that if Europe accepts Turkey, then terrorism in the E.U. will rise to catastrophic levels. Youth bulges are important to keep in mind since destructive and radical behavior is typically carried on by youth between the ages of 16-25. Looking at Turkey's demography, there will be plenty of Turks in this age group by 2010, 2015, and 2020.

Cell phones rot your brain. Hellenes have gone mad using these civilizing contraptions. I only use them for quick bursts of communication nowadays. Feeling dizzy after longer periods of use, I quit using the instrument as my primary communications device. Now, it appears that they cause problems in the brain of youths. This is a healthy brain.

And now this could be
your childs brain on cell phones.

Well, that’s frightening considering that the material in their heads is the same material as in yours and mine. One must note that the brains of children are still undergoing development and might be more prone to getting tumors. However, in extended doses, a cell phone radiating should affect anyone's head in the same way. Of course, the corporations will insist that nothing is wrong with cell phones. But I’m not going to take the risk of trusting the corporations when science tells me otherwise, and later on have an insider break the news. Big tobacco already pulled that one off and still sells their well marketed cancer in a box. Perhaps the public should use moderation to avoid a health crisis.

Macedonia is Hellenic.

Their name is Hellenic. They played a minor role in the Peloponnesian War. Their culture was Hellenic. Their language is Hellenic. Real Macedonians are Hellenic. Sure, they were referred to as barbarians by their Attic cousins, jokingly. You see, the Attic Hellenes thought that it wasn’t proper to drink ones wine without first mixing it with water. Since, the Macedonians didn’t do this, the ancient Attic joke goes, they were barbarians. In reality, they were not barbarians; they just had better wine than the Attic Hellenes.

So, why are the good people of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) hell bent on having their name recognized around the world as Macedonia? To understand this, we’d have to get into the dynamics of Yugoslavian nation building, which is partly responsible for this mess. The greater part of the blame lands directly in the lap of incompetent politicians wasting away Hellas. I’ll spare you the history of the failure of Hellas’ diplomacy. Its not the diplomats fault, mind you, it’s the lack of a strong state to provide back up to (most) diplomats who really want to see Hellas at the top.

Recently, when the Bush administration officially recognized FYROM as “Macedonia” all hell broke loose in Hellas. The government of the Hellenic Republic allegedly went through a phase of shock and awe before they recovered from this surprise assault by those evil Americans. Well now, Mr. Karamanlis, were you really surprised? I would not believe it. After all, the FYROMians (for lack of a better name) paraded in the Calatrava Stadium on August 13^th, 2004 under the name "Macedonia". Why didn’t you say anything then? Why hasn’t anything been said for decades here?

I think that the FYROMians can call themselves anything they want. Sure, go ahead and call yourselves Macedonians, but distinguish yourselves from the Ancient Macedonians. In the same way Mexicans in Baja, California (Mexico) distinguish themselves from Californians in the U.S.A.

But what is the point of calling themselves Macedonians? To claim that they are the descendents of Megas Alexandros and the Macedonians of Ancient Hellas? No, the Slavs and other barbarian tribes butchered them. Well into the 20th century. The point of the whole Macedonia issue is the desires of an irredentist group of people who are of different ethnicities, but all have a vision of their being related to the Ancients. Tito sure knew how to build a nation. Manipulating the masses and their offspring in order that to make masses believe that the Hellenes butchered their people.Tito's legend lives on. After some long months of trying to decide what exactly the purpose of this blog will be, I’ve come down to a decision. This blog will take a rational approach to Hellenism and international affairs. No dogmatism, no left-wing extremism, no right-wing extremism. All of these undermine the effort of true Hellenic patriots to unite and fight together against the force of American globalization. Or for lack of a better term, Americanism.

United, patriotism further the national interests. However, unification can only occur if we let go of historical myths propagated for the political purposes of 20th century ideologies, and face the reality of our past. Hellas is dying slowly but surely. So, step out of the mindset of arguing amongst Hellenes angry at their brothers for their bitter past. Forgive and forget about who was with the Junta or with ELAS guerillas. If they believed in Hellas and are proud to be Hellenes, then they are patriots.

United we will go after the Graecosaxons, fifth columnists, quislings, and the useful idiots spreading Americanism that destroys our cultural identity and replaces it with the worst aspects of the Hollywood culture. Leave the politics of left and right, and fight for Hellas’ future instead.

If the national cause can bridge the gap between fanatics of Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, AEK, and the alphabet soup of soccer clubs in order to support the National team, with much hope this phenomena can be mimiced in the realm of politics.

Fiction with Footnotes: "Greece a Modern Sequel"

A new anthropologic species has planted its roots on the soil of Hellas, that of the Graeco-Saxon liberal historian. Its main traits are neutrality, a tremendous effort to accommodate everyone's needs and wants, by massaging events, distorting the truth, and cutting and pasting facts. Enamored by globalization, they never miss an opportunity to denigrate the Hellenes. How does one tactfully review this book? I'm sure the authors thought they were doing important and benevolent work and honestly believed everything they wrote; however the body of the work is a neat essay, with an a priori thesis and all loose ends tied together. It is hardly possible to summarize the author's treatment of the subject, but a précis of some points will hopefully clarify the possibilities available to the reader.

It is an admirable effort on the part of the authors to selectively mention the role played by the "great powers" in the unfolding of history. It is a book full of elegant lies, half truths, but not the brutal truth. One example appears on page 285: "by summer of 1917 Constantine [they avoid to use the word King] was forced to abdicate..." by what forces we will never figure out. However, we are allowed to speculate that it was most probably by divine providence! Or inclement weather! These disconnected historians do not have the guts to tell the readers that a French armada bombarded Athens and British and French forces landed in Piraeus and Athens. Shooting broke out and the allies were forced into an ignominious retreat (Richard Clogg: “A Concise History of Modern Greece”) Maybe, they do not want to alienate Venizelos apologists. But it is a historical fact that Venizelos became prime minister riding on foreign bayonets and using firing squads (George Kousoulas: “Modern Greece”) Decimate: one out of ten. In the Roman Army it was the standard punishment to take one out of every ten soldiers and put them to death. This punishment was reserved for the Hellenic soldiers by Venizelist thugs. (E. Driault: “King Constantine”).

On page 234 we read that Ion Dragoumis "met a violent death". The authors want the casual reader to conclude that he was run over by car or kicked to death by a mule. In fact, Ion Dragoumis was picked up by members of Venizelos' Security Battalions and was shot in the street.

"Ioannis Metaxas, appointed dictator by the King" (p. 290), this is spurious scholarship. Ioannis Metaxas was appointed prime minister by the King, presented himself to a moribund parliament and won an overwhelming vote of confidence. The king exercised his constitutional privilege to nominate Metaxas Prime Minister, the same privilege used by his brother King Paul to nominate prime minister the obscure politician Konstantinos Karamanlis in the 50s.
Erased are all references to leftist terror. A minimization of it occurs in a variety of subtle and implicit ways including the choice of a skewed vocabulary. For example the murder of colonel Psaros is dubbed "death at the hands of ELAS." (p.71). Maybe, the authors are thinking he suffered from a heart attack! Colonel Psaros did not just "die" as they so elegantly put it. The communists murdered Psaros after surrendering himself to them (C.M. Woodhouse, “Something Ventured”).

Dekemvriana is just the December uprising/rebellion/revolt (sic). Not one word is uttered about the killing fields were thousands of Athenians, among them the great actress Eleni Papadaki, the Rector of Athens Polytechnic Institute Koronis together with twelve of his students, and colonel Chamodrakas with his three sons (ages ranging from 14 to 20) were murdered by the "heroic" communists. On page 82 we read that from both sides, left or right "too may had been injured in some way". Thus, the horrendous atrocities committed by the communists are just called injuries! The indiscriminate massacre of 600 civilians at Pyrgos and of 1600 in Meligalas, ages ranging from14 to 80 year old (Davis H. Close: “The Origins of the Greek Civil War) are absent from the pages of these contemporary storytellers. They are motivated by a need to have the Communists perceived as victims and thus minimizing the sufferings of the Hellenic people in the hands of the British mercenary and communist controlled ELAS by creating a moral equivalent.
The famine of 1941-42, the most tragic event of the period that reached genocidal proportion, an estimated 7% of the prewar 7.5 millions of the Hellenic population died because of the famine, is dealt in such a way to blame the Germans, and whitewash the British. In reality the British blockade of the Mediterranean was the major cause of starving the Hellenic people to death. (Robin Waterfield: “Athens”). The blockade that was enforced selectively to target the Hellenic people, while the Vichy in France had all the Mediterranean supply routes open. It has been commented that the "only direct blockade advantage that the Allies could have hoped to draw from the starvation of Hellas was the embarrassment of German transport arrangements, rather than any appreciable diminution of Axis supplies". This was obviously hardly worth the tens of thousand of deaths by famine in Hellas. (Prokopis Papastratis: “British Policy Towards Greece During the WWII)

What is interesting in this book of anthropology (as opposed to history) is what is omitted. The politicians and the diplomats as a class or group or institution are absent. We will never learn who these hypertrophied and corrupted Babbits are. Their attributes, connections, and by what tide of times are washed out to mortgage the future of Hellas are not considered.
The chapter on ideology is so fraught with self-hate, and reflects so a desperate attempt to please Francis Fukuyama or Samuel Huntington that we leave the review of this chapter to the experience of a psychiatrist.

The sorry, arrogant, egomaniacs, and pseudo-historians still remain a formidable a force in rewriting Hellenic history; as the Corleones are in the Mob politics of “The Godfather”. It appears that what is going on in their realm of consciousness is determined by the material conditions of existence, and this existence is more than enough to unleash the banality of Mob historicism and thus become a mouthpiece of the Orwellian Neo-History in the era of globalization.
